¾ cup dried fruit: raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots and/or dates
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup uncooked oats (optional)
Instructions
Crumble:
In a food processor, combine all crumble ingredients; pulse just until chopped and combined.
Filling:
Put all filling ingredients in an 8-inch square baking dish or 2-quart casserole dish.
Add half of the crumble mixture to the apples mixture, toss to combine. Smooth the top to level.
Spoon the other half of the crumble mixture evenly over the apple mixture and serve at room-temperature. Optional: heat in 300° oven until warm and serve.
