Hey there, I’m Kris, also known as Common Sense Crunchy Gal. I’ve spent the last 20+ years making steady, incremental changes in my home environment and upgrading my nutrition/wellness plan. It’s all been designed to level up my and my family’s health by focusing on: food, home, and lifestyle habits.
My Story
From where I stand now, my health has taken a complete 180. I used to be overweight, a smoker, caffeine and sugar addict suffering from headaches, brain fog, constant congestion, rapid and scary mood swings, painful periods, frequent colds and flu, exhaustion, adrenal fatigue, and stress. Sweat was a four-letter word! But hey, didn’t I just describe modern life? I didn’t realize this is not how we’re supposed to feel. It all seemed very normal at the time, certainly my friends and family were having many of the same experiences.
Everything changed the day I stood in front of the mirror, unhappy and frustrated that none of my clothes fit. That’s the moment when I decided not to buy another clothes size up. I decided to take charge of my health! So I did, by taking small, effective steps to improve my health and I continue my mission to level up every day!
I learned the important connection between and impact of food choice, environmental chemicals and shifting energy in your home. Integrating practices in these 3 aspects of my life led to transformative changes in my body and home. My mantra is to “age well instead of getting old”!
I’m excited to share all the nutrition know-how and home tips and tricks I’ve discovered that make a big impact on personal wellness.
With the overwhelm of information, it’s hard to keep up and discern facts from misinformation, let alone know what to do! I was able to distill what matters to make the most difference for my family. Now I’m letting you in on the short-cuts so all of your shifts carry the most impact so you can have your own 180!
I also started to see a parallel between earth’s condition with a general decline in human wellness. We are linked together on a biological and energetic level. What’s good or bad for one of us affects the other. When we nurture ourselves, it’s another step toward wellness for us and the planet.
Our health, and that of the earth, is in our hands. Let’s make every decision a good one. When we all do a little, it adds up to a lot!
